Remembering Kluki and the Słowiński National Park

In September 2016 we were invited to a wedding near Gdańsk, Poland. Instead of flying in we decided to turn it into a road trip. On the way from Cologne to the wedding we checked out Dresden, the national park of  Saxon Switzerland and finally Gdańsk. On our way to the wedding we found a really special place worth sharing; it was the village Kluki and the Słowiński National Park. With the vast and empty beaches, sand dunes and pine tree forests the park left a lasting impression on all of us.

Remembering trekking in Morocco

At the end of September 2015 we spent one week in Morocco. Our itinerary turned out to be rather untypical: Instead of going to the desert, we decided to go trekking in the Atlas region and expirienced one of the very best treks of our lives. After that we enjoyed the vibe of the surfer’s mecca Essaouira.

In this post we summarize good memories, some practical information and our itinerary with a focus on the trek as inspiration for one week in Morocco.

Remebering Holidays in Aljezur, Algarve

At the beginning of October Cologne was in autumn mode. We decided to use our precious, last holidays from work at the end of summer 2017. Our choice was Algarve, Portugal. Traveling off-season we hoped to evade the tourist crowds and still enjoy the amazing nature and sun Portugal is known for.
Spoiler: The choice was more than accurate: Portugal was super sunny, we had zero rain, just a few clouds to give the perfect dramatic sunsets.
